Money in limbo HELP??
mikkiplum
I bought some tyres on Thursday and used chip and pin to pay. Unfortunately being the busy mum I am; I was distracted by my 2 year old and removed the card too early.
The payment was voided and I tried again, payment accepted this time:j however when I next checked my account I realised double the amount was pending.
The day later one payment had cleared but the other was still showing up as pending. Now 5 days later it is still showing up as pending, WHERE IS MY MONEY?
I have contacted my bank but they can't do anything, and I have contacted the garage who promise me that the money isn't in their account. This has left me with only have £1 to my name now until this money is back in my account
has anyone ever experienced this before?

The money is in your account but still earmarked by the earlier transaction. Ask you bank when this earmarking will fall off. Which bank is it?0

As pmduk says, the authorization will fall off eventually.
This is one reason why it is better to use credit cards for spending wherever possible.0
