and good night.
A very childish and almost, but not quite, unexpected response and hardly giving credence to your previous pontifications.
You were wrong and, ironically, you proved yourself wrong for all to see.

Well done for getting the whole caboodle back each time
Hi Es
I surfed many sites.. This one, Penalty Charges, CAG, BBc, and Which to name but a few.. I have read til my eyes pop out and soaked up a lot of information, so i have quite an informed view...
I used templates from Which? to start off with and, as with this site, they suffice to a point..
My difficulty comes when the banks don't play ball and the 'simple' 3 step stage that i have read about, and seen on T.V presented in a 'if only it was that easy' way, falls over...
Once the court stage goes in and you are up against Cobbets etc the whole ball game changes. If the PoC isn't correct or something is worded incorrectly, then they have you jumping thru hoops knowing that some claimers don't have suffuicient knowledge to deal with the leagalities involved.
I am at the AQ stage with NW.. And its been a bloody hard slog. I couldn't get the information and advice that i needed on here.. sorry guys..so i used another site that deals pretty much only in bank charges.. every site has its strong points, as does this one, and its finding one that you are comfortable with...Halifax ~ Done and dusted

You stated it was fact that banks will lower their charges. Something is either fact or it isnt. To state something as fact when it isnt is misinformation and it is that simple. It is clearly shown in your own words that your statement was not factual and purely speculatory.
So using your own theory then3. Getting ALL your money back WITHOUT going to court will be more difficult.
Is this misinformation?the way forward is the consumer action group .co.uk0 -
Okay guys I think this needs to stop NOW. Arguing amongst ourselves isnt going to help anyone. We just need to make sure people have the right information to help in their claims and stop mithering over who said what when. So long as the help we give folks is based on the correct information, as we see it at the time, that should be enough....people are winning and will continue to do so. Lets concentrate on them.
btw no one KNOWS what the OFt will say or what effect it will have, we expect nothing because nothing happened with the last OFT report into credit card charges, people continued to take the c/card cos to court and continued to get 100% refunds.....so we'll just work on the same premise here.LegalBeagles0 -

My sentiments exactly.

I've decided to close this thread. Think its best we all took a deep breath and focus on the common ground of helping reclaimers rather than the - in comparison - minor differences in subtle stance.
So lets unite against the banks and carry on
