Am I entitled to reclaim bank charges

Options
Can anyone tell me If i would be entitled to claim any charges back or do mine not count.

I have been overdrawn now for neary ten years with lloyds tsb.

I have a select account so I pay £10 per month for having the account then i pay the monthly overdraft charges roughly £30 a month.

I have possibly gone over my overdraft limit maybe 6 times possibly more and being charged £30 a time for that.

Should I claim any of this back and if so what charges

Thanks

  • If you have a select account then you should be paying £7 per month - if you are paying £10 are you sure it is not a Gold service account?
The fees charged on these accounts are not refundable.

You may have a claim if you have been charged unauthorised borrowing fees/excess fees or have been charged for having items returned unpaid on your account but only for the last 6 years. You cannot claim for interest charged on your overdraft.
