Mbna Homebase Spend&save Points

Long time since I was last here, hope you are all as useful as you used to be.
I recently bought a car for about £10K using an MBNA HOMEBASE credit card.
....Don't worry I was helping out my dad who had a cash flow problem at the time and he paid it back in full before the statement date....
But I have noticed a line on my credit card statement that I didn't understand, it says: 9,439.00 TR TO SPEND&SAVE
So I rang MBNA and asked them what it meant and they said that I have now got all those points in my spend&save account and I can use them like cash at homebase. They gave me a card number but I don't know what to do with it.
I have done some research but cannot find what I am supposed to do to "get" the points or see what they are worth. I found something that says the points are only awarded upto a transaction value of £750, but that seems to apply when buying at homebase with the spend&save card which I didn't do.
I am really confused.
Do any of you know if there is somewhere I login and see a statement and can I exchange these points for anything other than homebase products?

Do you have a Homebase Spend & Save loyalty card?

In which case, make sure that the card is registered and linked to your credit card.themongoose wrote:yes I have one of those.
You should get vouchers sent to you in January for the points you have earnt.0 -
If 'mongoose' has managed to buy a car on his credit card without a charge -and get points he's onto something!
I too asked to pay for a new car using my credit card, to take advantage of the card 1% 'cashback'. The credit card company OK'd it, but the car dealership added a charge of 2.5% to offset the amount card companies charge the retailer. This placed me on a loser- 1% cashback minus 2.5% charges.
However after a phone call to check my credit, they accepted my HSBC switch card.0
