Why do company's have to keep meddling with things in the name of improvement?

I have used Barclays online banking since its inception and was fine - but now they have revamped the site and it is a mess. The pages are far too 'busy' and in my opinion is not an improvement.

And don't get me going on the Pin Sentry's that you have to use to access your account or pay a bill - I have tried all morning to pay my council tax, but the site won't recognise my PIN sentry number.:mad:

I will have to pay it by telephone which was why I opted for online banking in the first place!

Using the old adage, if it ain't broke, why fix it?

Oooh I'm with you there! The pages take ages to load, and it's more long winded to do anything.

On 29th March, we needed to key in salaries for 30+ people we couldn't get online all day! Eventually managed to pay them in the afternoon of the 30th - if anyone comes back to us with bank charges I will expect Barclays to honour them.

I really like the new Barclays site (no - I don't have any connection to Barclays). I signed up for the trial so have been using it for a while now.
I must admit my first reaction wasn't positive but then I am not very good with change. Now I've used it quite a bit I really like it. I think it is easier to use and loads fine on both my laptop and desktop PC.

Pin Sentry is a necessary evil to help minimise fraud.

As far as I am concerned the new site is a great improvement.

There's a much longer thread on the banking forum. I have no problem with the new style banking, but Barclays online site has been pretty ropey all week.

im totally with you on this, i cant do online banking since they changed it

cant wait to go in the bank on tues and read them the riot act
