Hi,
Quick question,
i noticed that first time buyers do not get charged stamp duty,
i currently dont own a house and am planning to buy one in the next few months, but I did own a house four years ago with my dad being a guarantor which was then sold
would i still quaify as a first time buyer now?
thanks:money:

you owned the house.Nice to save.0

Also the stamp duty holiday ended on the 23rd of March0

How much are you looking to spend, stamp duty is exempt upto £125k. SDLT relief scheme is now finished though if you are looking to spend m ore.0

If you owned a house you would not be a first time buyer. It doesn't matter though as the stamp duty holiday for FTBs has now ended. You will have to pay stamp duty on any house purchase ABOVE £125,000. Below that is exempt (FTB or not).0

For stamp duty purposes you would not be a FTB (not that it matters any more) but you will still be able to get most FTB mortages and the such.0
