Has anyone ever heard of otel.com? Is it dodgy?! Sent there from trivago.com

Hi everyone,

I wonder if any money savers out there have used the website otel.com?

I found the website through trivago.com looking for a good deal on a hotel in the US, after trivago was recommended on here

However, I've read some really bad, and some really good reviews for the website otel.com, which was recommended by trivago.

The hotel I booked was pre-paid, which I put through on my credit card, now I'm thinking I might have made a mistake.

Can anyone put my mind at rest and let me know if they have had success with this website through trivago?

Yes I used them last year. Booked TAJ hotel in Kerala, India. For that hotel they were miles cheaper than others. Absolutely no problems.
I think they may be Turkish owned

Used them a couple of years ago to book hotels in both Lisbon and Cebu without a problem.

OK I find it slightly weird that the response to this thread from otel.com has disappeared now that I have tried to contact them privately?!

Will keep this updated with my progress, am now getting worried again

I booked with Otel.com for a hotel with pool and fitness centre when I arrived there was neither pool or fitness centre their response was to say they are not responible for the way they advertise on their website.and offered me 15% off next time I book with them.

I have never used them (must stress that) but Google threw up this near the top of the list

I have used otel with no problems ... Although as the OP posted in April, I would hope they have booked by now.
