I think this may be a stupid question so appologies for being a bit confused but my DRO was spent at the end of March and I have just checked my credit report and it is still showing many of the x creditors listed as Default. Is this normal or should it now read satisfied and recorded as a DRO?
I know I wont get any letter of confirmation my DRO has 'expired' but I dont really know what happens now 12 months on, other than I am not in the clear for another 6 years. Im ok with this as I have learnt from my mistakes and would never want to borrow or have a credit card again. Despite the fact all the past borrowing was to keep the rent paid and food on the table (not flippant spending sprees).
Thanks

You may be expecting your credit reports to get sorted out a bit too quickly. I'd give it a full month, then check again.
If you need to write, Fermi has some guidance on the bankruptcy board as a sticky, that works equally well for DROs.
Before it disappears, I'd print a copy of your record from the insolvency site.

Thanks for the info. I have now just printed off the details. But one thing I dont understand is it reads Court (Not Applicable for a Debt Relief Order) Dated in 2011. What does this mean as NDL assured me I was 'granted' one.
I will keep checking my credit report for next couple of months.Failure is only someone elses judgement.

Yes, that's normal. DROs are not awarded through a court so the 'court' line is not applicable.
It should read 'morotorium period ended on ...'0 -

Hi sorry to intrude but my DRO expired a few days before christmas last year I checked a few days after on the insolvency list and I was on it I assumed I just would be for the next few years however today I received and demanding letter from a collection agency trying to recover one of the debts covered by the DRO this is the second one in a week i've had. So I got out the copy of my DRO and rang them but they said they could not close the case as they could not find me on the insolvency register? I tried to find myself on there and i'm no longer on there? They asked me to email they a copy of my DRO. Is this going to be enough or I am now going to get harrassed by all my ex creditors are they just going to keep trying? This particular debt I hadn't had any contact from for around 8 yrs so find it even more surprising!0 -
You only stay on the online register for 3 months from the finish of your DRO, so it's normal for it to be gone from there.
Just send the collectors a copy of the paperwork confirming your DRO and tell them to get lost.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
