Moving Garden Bluebells

Our front garden has plantex and gravel on it but oddly every spring we get blue and white bells (think these might be the spanish varieties) popping up. Every year we get a few more.
We are looking to have the drive re done but I don't want to lose the bluebells is it possible to dig them up and move them to under the privet hedges front and back (quite a few grow here already?)
If so when should I do this?
We are also looking to move house later this year - do you think I could take some with me? If so how would I store them?
Thanks

I gave some to someone up the road from me. She left them in the bags by her shed and promptly forgot about them.
They still grew. She planted them the next year and they were fine.0 -
I've just had my front garden done and it is always full of bluebells. We dug them all up, threw some away and replanted some. They have taken already. The spanish ones (which I have) are very hardy, they'll spread again no doubt!
English bluebells are much more delicate and they are protected. You probably do have spanish ones.I Believe in saving money!!!:T

They're unlikely to be English bluebells, which grow in woodland. Spanish bluebells can be blue or white, or even pink!
