Dulux/ICI

Options
I bought a large tub of brilliant white paint a couple of months ago and when I cam to use it again, the paint had gone a brownish colour despite mixing it well.

I phoned ICI today. I waited around 30 minutes for someone to pick up my call. I then spoke to a member of staff who couldn't have sounded less bothered and said I must have contaminated the paint!
As he was speaking to me it was clear he was eating, at the end of the call I mentioned this and he didn't deny it.

I know my paint problem might be boring to him but that's the nature of his work surely and he could have at least pretended to be bothered!
Rant over;)

  • This was on Watchdog and we have had the same problem, email them and they will email you a form to fill in and supply evidence (receipt, sample of paint or photo of paint work affected etc) then they should issue you with a voucher for paint to rectify the problem.
Apparently the non drip gloss doesn't have this problem.

Thanks, my BIL told me about this yesterday but my paint is emulsion and I think the problem was with gloss? I maybe wrong though:o
  • Yes it was the gloss, and I made a mistake it is the quick dry gloss that shouldn't have this problem
