Radio code lost in rain!

Hello can anybody help my daughter who has a vw beta radio in her old Landrover but after the battery went flat the radio has gone to SAFE.
Have taken the radio out and it has a sticker on it with what was the code but rain has been leaking in from the windscreen and has wiped out the last two digits! I think the first 2 are 05**

The radio is a VW Beta (not out of a Landrover)
serial 014VWZ1Z2X2440471 (on label and stamped on case)
other numbers on label
7DO 035 152
815 7 648 235 360

Any help really appreciated as to how to get the unlock code to get it going again for her.
