Airmiles

I have tons of airmiles and was sent a 2 for 1 offer to try and entice me to spend some. I just spent ages co ordinating flight times, availability, time off work and hotels and fill out all my booking info, add my credit card and clicked 'book'.
I then get a rather contradictory note that says that a booking has been made for me and an error has occured so please call customer services on xxx to assist with my booking. I phone CS who are closed until 9am tomorrow morning.
I have no idea whether my booking has happened or not, I've had no emails from BA either way so have no idea whether the tax money has been taken from my credit card or not. I now have to waste time tomorrow explaining why they are allowed to talk to me even though I'm not first named on the account and which is why they haven't wanted to talk to me before.
The reason I've managed to amass thousands of these airmiles in the first place is because I've had such problem actually making a booking with them that I usually give up.
