Does anyone have a good tip as the best place to buy them from? Am looking for about 1kg and so far the best price I've found is about £16. My local shop is only selling sachets this year which isn't much help.

That is a good point, buy grow bags / compost already with it in. I must admit, I normally avoid of these (unless on offer), although the cheaper compost I got last year wasn't as good as previous years (bits in it). This year other than some J Innes seeding compost I haven't purchased anything. My local council give each house hold 3 free bags (well you collect) from the brown recycling waste, which is nice.

I ended up getting it from T & M with a free £10 voucher I had, so got 1kg for £1.99 in the end!
