It sounds like you need to run a programme that essentially orders the data on the computer. The one I use is called my defrag which can be found with this simple search http://www.bing.com/search?setmkt=en-GB&q=my+defrag the second one down is the one on my computer. What it does is to get the information on your computer which is placed randomly (this is quicker in the short run when you want the programme or data to run now) which causes the computer to get bogged now in the long run. This programme is much quicker than the bog standard PC one which I haven't used in so long I can't even find it any more
Alternatively you can wipe the entire system, this is what my dad did to my laptop when it was given to my mum. He was a computer-fixerer by trade but I honestly don't know how he did it, I would suggest taking it to a professional if you want to go down that route. Shouldn't cost that much, my dad did it in about 20 minutes.
I will have a look at it later thanks hon, I have used the windows one and deleted a ton of programs run cccleaner an anti virus, adware and a program to stop things on start up. Lowered the brightness etc and it's still going slower than my pet tortoise :-) I do not want to format it, I have 4 computers in total. It's not worth spending on I just want it to do some of the offers and some of the surveys that will not work on mac :-):D
Very much appreciated hopefully that will help enough :-) x0 -
Well, I done a little bit better than I usually do yesterday, though that was thanks to all the videos!
I started today at 749, I hope to be able to cash out that voucher today, but Ive never hit 100 in a day, so hoping for a bit of luck with surveys!
Are you doing the survey's hon? if you get your daily that's 70sb and you can often get one of the ones in Peanut labs or trusted surveys. They really do add up much faster than tv xx0 -

Very easy survey on PeanutLabs worth 30 bucks. Very quick to do too. Just make sure you tick all the boxes regarding what products you have experience with on the first question0

Just want to check, how many anti-viruses do you have on it? Do you have Norton? My dad always used to take Norton off his customers' computers, tell them that it's the devil (it lags your computer like hell) and never to put it back on again.
Also I can ask my techie boyfriend if he has any ideas after he gets back from work, I'll send you his suggestions in your PM box if you want.
Oh and dad installed malware bytes on my system (tell no one, I'm not allowed to let anyone touch my computer as it was given to me via DSA the student one) maybe that's worth a try? http://pcsupportpro.org/Malware-Download-Repair/repair/
Oops, gave the wrong link the first time, I believe this is the right link.
I'm up to 20 sb I've only just started : D0 -

Your dad is SO right Norton is the devil :T:T I use AVG, have done since about 1999 I think lol.
Comps just old bless it, nothing per say wrong but it's SLOW loading anything. No real reason to be because I am not running anything heavy on it and it is Vista. It's not a malware or spyware issue, run several checks. Might have to admit defeat and ask an expert lol :-)
Getting no where on SB last two days. Loving all the videos atm though :T:T
Welcome to SB challenge btw :-) is this your first day? xx0 -
Lol vista, my dad would take that off his customers' systems as well. It is true, laptops have an expected lifetime of 3 years, desktops have a life time of maybe 1-2 years longer.
By no where, what do you mean? Yesterday I hit 90sb, today I'm at 70 and I'm pretty happy about it. I know some of you get hundreds but my aim is 80 a day : P
I started posting here a week? or less ago ^^ Thank you for the welcome.0 -

Might be worthwhile checking what other programmes you have loaded on your pc and remove any unwanted ones? Things like games you don't play or toolbars which you don't really need - on vista if you go to Start > Control Panel > then uninstall programmes and if theres things on there like Bing toolbar or things like that it might be worthwhile getting rid of them. Rule of thumb there though is if you don't recognise it and don't know what it is DON'T uninstall it as it might be part of the essential stuff which you don't wanna delete0 -
I joined swagbucks yesterday and am up to 1,038!!!! I went to get a £5 amazon voucher but it said I had to verify my account first. I've not had an email to verify my account. I've had other swagbucks emails but not a verification one just an email with my name and password.
I clicked to send it again and it says it takes up to 48 hours. Can anyone tell me if they had this trouble with their first voucher?Swagbucks - £150 / Dooyoo - £20
