Local Country Redirect

Hi Guys.
Anyone know how to stop Google Chrome from doing a local country redirect on websites?
I don't just mean the Google homepage, I've already sorted that out, but on many other websites it does LCR and it's really irritating.
Work servers are in Brussels but I'm in the UK, not allowed to use a phantom IP address etc. for obvious reasons.
Thanks

Some sites will do it automatically, especially retail stores, unless you have an option to change country within the website.
Use a VPN as a workaround.0 -
Thanks, it is mainly retail, but a few others do it too.
Not able to use VPN or anything on my work machine, was hoping there was a setting somewhere in Chrome to stop it from happening.
If not, I'll just have to get fluent in Dutch

Retailers want you to use the UK site. This was covered in this weeks BBC Watchdog where the price differential between items was upto 40%.0

I doubt that your browser has any involvement in the redirect. How would your browser know that your company network appears on the internet to be based in Brussels?
Your best bet would appear to be to connect via a uk-based network proxy. Might be a bit slow, as you'd be going through 2 NAT stages, but should work Ok.0 -

Stop using Google Chrome?
For the UK I use http://www.google.co.uk/webhp?complete=0&hl=en which keeps you in the UK and on the left you can click "Pages from the UK" which seems to make the results stricter. I do the same thing when I want to seacrh Google.com.au, Google.de etc.
I use Firefox with NoScript which blocks most of Googles annoyances including, reditect, divert, adverts, dodgy scripts etc etc.0 -

All I meant was that if I type in a .co.uk it will redirect to .nl or similar. I didn't know if this was my browser picking up the server from my I.P. address, or the websites individually. If browser, I thought it might be as simple as turning off the redirect somewhere.
If it's websites, then not a lot I can do.Stop using Google Chrome?

I have already corrected the Google homepage redirect, so is not an issue, it's just other websites."We can all fly as high as the dreams we dare to live...........unless we are a chicken" ~ Anon.0 -

It will almost certainly be the website itself doing the redirection. Do you have an example of a site you are having problems with?
I have a similar issue as my clients network makes it appear that I am in the USA but most the sites which I go to that redirect do allow you to click through to another countries version of the site (just cant go directly) though there are a few exceptions.0
