Wireless laptop help needed!!

Hi Hoping somebody can help me! We bought a laptop for our sons for Christmas and swapped to Orange Broadband so we could take advantage of the wireless facility for the laptop. The broadband itself is not the problem. When we set up the wireless facility it came up as secure connection, we then had a problem getting an internet connection on laptop, rang Orange helpline (who were very helpful may I add) and they solved the problem or so I thought. When my sons want to connect to internet on their laptop now they have to press the pairing button every time on the modem, still not a problem but now it says Unsecure connection. Should it say this or do I need to ring them again and see if they can get it back to secure connection? TIA for any help or suggestions.
