I always had problems getting the correct Bra size. When I follow the traditional sizing info I get to be a cup size DD.
I am wearing a size E now and I am still getting what I call double boobage and also slipping out of them.
Any help please before I have wardrobe malfuction

Why don't you go to your nearest M&S and get measured up properly?Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

have you ever been fitted properly?
Places like M&S and Debenhams only measure you and pronounce what size you will be, they rarely actually 'fit' you just follow what the tape measure says.
For many years I beleived myself to be a 34DD, thanks to the lady at Selfridges I now know that I'm a 32E or in some brands a 30F
I don't know where in the country you are but if you have a Bravissimo store near you they seem to know what they are doing. It's the kind of thing where there's really no substitute for having an experienced person to help you.2016: No Clutter to Be Seen 805/2016

If you really can't find a decent bra fitter then the above link might help. They are also pretty helpful on the phone.2016: No Clutter to Be Seen 805/2016

I went to Debenhams a few months ago and was masured an 'F cup'. My boobs looked lost in an 'F' cup. After trying different styles and different sizes we agreed that i was a 36 DD. Not a bad difference.
I find it hard getting a bra that fits me perfectly. They are usually baggy at the sides but gaping at the front. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Sadly the nearest one is 40 mile round trip
I just don't want to feel as if I am about to fall out. I would rather not have malfuction in front of my colleagues
Looks like I will just have to keep trying.

I'm guessing in that case you also don't have a Bravissimo nearby.. if you are ever near one I heartily recommend going in for a fitting. I've tried buying bras on the internet but none have fitted, - I find I have to try them on.
If the bra you are wearing also rides up at the back, it might be worth you going down a back size and up a cup size.
I think there is a forum user who does bra fittings, - I'll see if I can find her thread.
(ETA can't see the thread I was thinking of, but if blue_monkey is around she might be able to help?:))0 -

^^^agree with this. its a really good guide. Have a read, make some notes if you need them and take them with you when you go to the shops.VfM4meplse wrote: »Why don't you go to your nearest M&S and get measured up properly?
 if my local M&S are any indication I wouldn't touch them with a barge pool when it comes to measuring. They fitted me as a 36C two weeks before Bravissimo fitted me as a 34FF
Once you know what a good fit feels like you'll be able to replicate it without needing a professional fitting but that first fitting is really important.
The band should feel firm but comfortable and be horizontal across your back. It should be hooked onto the outer hooks. If you can hook it onto the middle/inner hooks its too big, go down a size. The backs will stretch as you wear them
If you have to drop a back size you'll probably then need to go up a cup size to prevent spillage!
Finding the right size bra (particularly outside of the specialist shops like bravissimo) will take TIME. Go when you have time and are in the mood. Don't worry about taking what feeling like half the store in with you. I know my size and still take multiples in with to check for perfect fit
If you are slipping out (if its not flat to your chest wall) you need to come down a back size or two.
Since you've already got 'double boobage' in E cups you probably should be looking FF upwards. TBH I don't know where you can get bras in these sizes apart from the specialist shops
Good luck0 -
would say go to bravissimo too but if no branch nearby then use their online fitting guides and you can call them too for advice.
buy online in different sizes (read reviews of the bras on figleaves) try them on at home and send the ones that dont fit back.0 -

From what you've said my lovely I think you need to go up a couple of cup sizes and down a back size or two. My advice is to to go somewhere and have a mammoth trying on session of different sizes and styles.
If you check out this thread there's a MSE-er called blue_monkey who is a trained bra fitter. She's given some very helpful advice. I'm sure she wouldn't mind you PMing her.

Well thanks everyone.
I have just bought from Asda a 36F. I still think I am spilling over a little bit.
Bit I will wear it and see how I get on. I am in the process of losing weight. So hoping all the Bra's I have bought over the last month I can get some wear out as I lose weight.
