Possibly but possibly not. They may not hold them in branch but hold them in a central location.
Remember that you dont need any agreements to make a complaint. So, if complaint is your intention, just make it. That will save you even more hassle.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). I do think MSE should remove (or at least amend) that piece of advice from the PPI re-claiming guide. The guide makes it sound as if you must write for terms and conditions if you don't have supporting paperwork. The idea is to provide a cheaper (£1) alternative to a full SAR letter (£10) , but it's a waste of time if the potential complainant has their account numbers already or if the loans/credit cards are closed.Remember that you dont need any agreements to make a complaint. The guide should make this clear.0 -

I agree. They should also make it clear that the £1 CCA request only applies to outstanding debts and not those repaid and if it is a credit card they run the risk of the credit card being suspended if the lender cannot find the agreement.
For most people though, the request of the agreement is a waste of time and money as it just isnt needed.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Do none of you veterans of the Forum have a contact at MSE to suggest this to? I've seen numerous posts where the complainant has wasted time in this way and the credit card suspension must be genuinely worrying for anyone that happens to.They should also make it clear that the £1 CCA request only applies to outstanding debts and not those repaid and if it is a credit card they run the risk of the credit card being suspended if the lender cannot find the agreement.0
