What to spend john lewis vouchers on?

I've been given £150 in john lewis vouchers as a wedding present by my colleagues. I'd never normaly shop in john lewis as it's so expensive. I know my colleagues each had to put in a reasonable amount each to make up this amount, so I want to be able to tell them something reasonable that we chose. It all seems so expensive compared to what I normally pay for things. I've lived with h2b for over 5 years now, and we have everything we need, so i'd be looking to replace something we already have. bit vague i know, but any suggestions?!

I don't think John Lewis are expensive, most things are really competitive and they have some lovely items. How about a new dinner service or a canteen of cutlery? A new vacuum cleaner or carpet steamer? (These are all things we spent our vouchers on!)
Maybe have a look through their wedding gift ideas list and see if anything grabs you:

Breadmaker?

I have one of these and 99.9% of loaves are fine and you know what is in it, if you pay the extra £33 you get a five year warantee, and John Lewis are virtually unbeatable for dealing with claims
Express Boil type kettle which only boils the amount you need, leave for 30 seconds before pressing for another cup if both of you want a cuppa together
Or check their clearance section and only get something you need when it is on offer.0 -
Two options: find what you want wherever you want, then see if John Lewis sell it. They price match so if you find it lower as long as they are able to find this price themselves to verify, they will price check and you pay the same.
Another option is to hold off until the summer sales. They may well have sales earlier on but I have only ever seen them hold two major sales, one on the 27/28th December one in the summer.
Or just go totally mad in the beauty hall or sportswear/fashion areas and blow it in an afternoon on things you do not need yet want!0
