My brother cancelled 2x standing orders by mistake when they need to continue (i think) in order to bag the £100 joining incentive (or do the SOs just need to be paid within the first 13 weeks to bag the £100?)
So going to reinstate the SOs .... the date now reads "final payment date: 2nd Apr".
So changing this to "until further notice", he's getting an error of
"Please review the field(s) highlighted below:
Except the only field that is highlighted is the "Payee Name" field. Stranger than this is the fact that i can't see a "final amount" field at all. There was with Nationwide, who he switched the standing order from, but not on the Santander website.
Aside from this, can someone clarify whether the standing orders just need to be paid once within the 13 weeks, or do they need to be paid once within the 13 weeks ANDremain active for the 13 weeks?

My SOs were only paid once (2 x £1) and were set as annually and I got the incentive.
So I would have thought providing they've been paid once you should be ok.0 -
I have 2 direct debits (friend's TV licence, post office savings account) which haven't ever been debited and will never be before the account is closed (or converted to 123), and it was fine.0
