Does anyone else feel that sometimes we are wishing our lives away by constantly counting down 'til month end though? On a sad note, one of our neighbours died suddenly yesterday aged mid 50's. My poor DH and another neighbour had to help the undertakers to bag and remove the body as it took 4 men to do it. It wasn't a great day at all so I'm trying to be positive today. Have a lovely sunny day everyone, barbecues & beach visits galore where you can :cool2: (I bet samtoby is on her boat) OH is working so I'm going to potter in the garden and I've splashed out on a single bottle of Real Ale to chill for when OH gets home tonight and a mini bottle of red wine for me....last of the big spenders me:rotfl::rotfl:

No short-shorts for me- while I was at a wedding reception on Saturday some blimmin' insect decided to chomp into my thigh. Twice. Through my tights.:mad: There was a story on the radio this morning about insecticidal undies- if they can make insecticidal hosiery then I am sold! :j

Well I finally got to the end of the thread! I must remember to keep up with it! Potted 5p yesterday. It's quite cloudy here in not-so-sunny cornwall today but I've got some planning to do then probably going to the gym. My OH is working away this week so enjoying the peace and quiet and absence of dirty socks all over the place (now I've picked them all up).

Ouch! I HATE those stingy things :mad: They always go for me too. Poor you You could always try putting some pure tea tree oil on your pulse points (wrists, neck, ankles) before going out although it wouldn't have stopped the little blighter from chomping on your thigh :think:

So sorry to hear about your DH, little_sweetie, and those who needed to help so much with your poor neighbour. I can only imagine just how hard it must have been for them all. A hug for him, please.

Hi all,

Have not posted in a while. Was on holiday in South Africa and Namibia for 3 glorious weeks. My pot has consequently suffered!

I will now have to juggle pot money and credit card debt .... urghhhh! Oh well, it was so worth it. I went on safari and touched a white rhino that came right up to the jeep! Heavenly.

Hope you are all well and potting like crazy.

WOW, Susanne...what a fantastic holiday that must have been! What an experience with the Rhino!!!!! That must have been such an incredible experience and I bet you've got stacks of photos and video. So worth being a little behind with your pot - don't blame you at all.

No good asking if you've been watching "Planet Earth live" then? It was absolutely brilliant and Richard Hammond was amazing and did a first-rate job at presenting it!!! :T

A lady about 8 months pregnant got on a bus.
She noticed the man opposite her was smiling at her.
She immediately moved to another seat.
This time the smile turned into a grin, so she moved again.
The man seemed more amused.
When on the fourth move, the man burst out laughing,
She complained to the driver and he had the man arrested.

The case came up in court.

The judge asked the man (about 20 years old)
What he had to say for himself.

The man replied,
'Well your Honour, it was like this:
When the lady got on the bus,
I couldn't help but notice her condition.
She sat down under a sign that said,
'The Double Mint Twins are coming' and I grinned..
Then she moved and sat under a sign that said,
' Logan 's Liniment will reduce the swelling,' and I had to smile.
Then she placed herself under a deodorant sign that said,
'William's Big Stick Did the Trick,' and I could hardly contain myself.
But, Your Honor, when she moved the fourth time
And sat under a sign that said,
'Goodyear Rubber could have prevented this Accident!'
... I just lost it.'
