Argos...

Alright guys,
I purchased a mountain bike online using Argos about a week ago, it's already been replaced once with a brand new bike from Argos since the chain broke after one day.
The new replacement bike has now started going strange on me. So I just rang Argos and explained the situation, and also said that I wanted a refuned.
They have no problem refunding me for the bike, but because there was another thing on my order that don't need to be sent back (a cheap pump that I want to send back thinking about it now), they won't refund me the £5.95 delivery charge.
I also don't have a box to put the bike in for when the courier arrives. I explained this, and the guy on the phone said the courier may refuse to take the bike because of this. What do I do? I don't have, nor can I get hold of a box big enough for the bike.
I have already confirmed with Argos for the bike to be picked up Tuesday, but now I want them to take the pump back, so I can get my money back for that (it's also slightly broken, but because it's cheap I let it go) and also my money back for the delivery charge.
Just need some help guys. What happens if he refuses to take the bix because it's not in a box? Also, can I call Argos back up and tell them I also want the pump picked up, so I can get my money back for that plus the delivery charge?
Cheers.

On what date did you take delivery of the pump and what date did you say that you wanted to return it? The DSRs state that you have up to seven working days, starting from the day after delivery, to cancel goods bought at a distance. So, if you received the pump on the 19th of March, you have until tomorrow to formally cancel the order.
However, as the goods appear to be faulty, you are actually returning the goods under the Sales of Goods Act, not the DSRs. Under these rules the seller cannot insist that you pay for returning the goods. The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -

They're not - they refusing to refund the delivery charge for "the pump" (that was delivered with it) - that's what he's quizingWhen will the "Edit" and "Quote" button get fixed on the mobile web interface?0
