Really? I doubt it...The Googlewhacker referance is to Dave Gorman and not to my opinion of the search engine!

That is so funny. It is not the petrol being watered down it is your maths my friend.
£15 petrol = approx 10 ltrs in my area at current prices of £1.46 ish or just over 2.26 gallons in old money, so assuming you drive 20 miles each way and walk the other 20 to save fuel - you will find that the car will go less distance as prices go up. Higher price means less for your cash paid.
Far better to fill up by litres - I normally do 10 per week as I know 10 will cover me most of the time for the miles I do. It is not how much you should worry about, but the quantity these days. Car should still do approx same MPG as it did before providing it is serviced at least once a year. And the main reason I do 10 is that it is easy to check that pumps are giving out correct amount as it is a matter of moving decimal point one step over to right. Oh and another thing, it is often much cheaper to go to the local garage and pay a penny or two more than drive 10 miles to save that 2p as you will use more fuel to get the 2p saving than if you'd filled up nearer!0 -
Yeah, that'll be it then. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:rita-rabbit wrote: »I think Morrisons are watering down the petrol0 -

ok - well thankfully my local Sainsburys is the best value again & so I will check levels regularly & ensure the `red light' doesn't come on - which is what I normally do but the hospital appointment distracted my attention! Ideally on my way home from work or somewhere - it is less than a mile away.
Not sure what others holier than thou would do in my position: I googled commute & it's actually 6 miles - so am driving four & walking 2. The train route is not reliable & expensive, the bus journey much longer in terms of travel time.
Anyways am grateful for constructive comments.0 -
What a comical post:D:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
You got the maths wrong, the difference given identical platforms and using different fuels would be + or - 5% at best,
Have you fallen out with the store before you posted this?????:AI like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -

Is this an April Fool's joke?The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -
Can you please tell us was it morrisons own fuel they were selling at the pumps or someone else's like Total , Texaco etc.
Impossible or even stupid for fuel companies the names I mentioned and others risk tampering @ the pumps or their oil.0 -
