Scart Block...correct connections

bought a scart block (4 scart sockets) from Poundland to connect up my digibox and dvd player to my TV. TV only has one scart socket. Can't seem to get dvd player to play without ghosting coming through from the relevant TV channel tuned in on the digibox. Is there a particular way in which the scart block should be hooked up to the three devices to ensure optimum playback and remove this ghosting effect?

If it's real cheap maybe you'll have to turn the digibox to standby while using the DVD, unless there is a switch on SCART box.

Is there not a SCART on the digibox to plug the DVD in or a SCART on the DVD to plug the digibox in, without using the adaptor? That way it'll switch automatically.
