Quiet bathroom pull switch

Our bathroom pull switch is so LOUD. Has anyone ever bought a quiet one? I can't use the electronic ones as we have energy efficient lamps and most electronic switches are not suitable.

Yeah, a PIR is 1 solution. How come the major manufacturers don't make a quiet switch?

You mightn't like this idea but I use those little LED portable push lights all over. One by the bed can be picked up and taken to the bathroom with you, lighting your way too. One left in the bathroom is enough for those 'little visits' and can be carried in a dressing gown pocket more easily than a torch. I know that it's not Designer style but it works!
