USA Vehicle lease

Doubt you would be able to do this (leasing) - unless you have a US bank account and credit rating.
Perhaps consider buying a new or used car, or a long term hire. There's also the driveaway option...0 -
I've got a US bank account all sorted and started gaining some history. Have been told I could expect to get a US credit card immediately on arrival so payment is not the issue. I got the impression from Dragons Den last week that leasing was a common apporach in the US but google doesn't seem to back that up.0

I think that leasing is common over there - so common in fact that everything is done through the local dealer.
People don't order their cars in the US - they collect from from huge fields of dealer stock on the same day, so that your local Ford dealer in the US is the size of a Carcraft or whatever over here. Because people expect to show up in an old car and drive home in a new one, there's no market for lease brokers, but plenty of dealers who will offer lease as well as purchase deals.
That said, leasing is credit scored and gets a quoted APR so you may not find it as cheap as others might, if you are recently arrived there.Debt at highest: September 2003 - £26,350
Debt now: £14,100
