Eon - electricity monitor

Signed up with E-on in november and was promised an energy monitor. Well it is now end of march and no sign of it. Gave them a call and was told they having difficulty getting them(lol) and will credit my account with £40. This will help with my overpriced gas and electricity. Worth a phone call if you were promised one.

Sorry you haven't received a monitor. We've run out of them at present and withdrew the offer at the beginning of Feb 12 until further notice.

However, as you ordered yours last November (details of the request will have been logged on your account), we'll have been happy to honour this commitment by supplying, if not a monitor, then either the monetary equivalent or goods to a similar value.

I always find it amusing that this happens. Its not just Eon, its happened with other suppliers as well.

Basically, (and not Malcs fault) the senior management don't do their jobs in determining how many they need. Good job they aren't in manufacturing, if they were they wouldn't find customers coming back to them!

I just rang EON for one and have been told they don't even sell them now, is anywhere else doing any free? My other family members are with different companies and don't have any or want a monitor maybe I could get one on their behalf if there's a company doing them
