I cannot get my head around the ID thing.
They have our names and address on their records, why on earth do they need to 'confirm they have the right person they are releasing money to'.
Never heard of such a thing before.

same here they need my ID to.
and I cashed mine in after lansdown and hartgreives informed me of equitable life were taking money out of my pension funds to fight a court case.
it was only a small pension, in the end I got around 12grand or so.
at least its giving me a little pension of £40 all but a few pennies.
