Just looked at all 3 pics, tell him not to prise it as he will damage it. The 2 push buttons come out and he will see the screw inside. The chances are he wont have one, but a toy dart with a suction tip is the best thing for removing these. The chrome bit he removed is just show ,so put that back on. When he refits it, just make sure the 2 push button holes are lined up.0

appreciate your help. i will go around there in the morning and try this method. hopefully i will just find that the siphon has got stuck open which is stopping the toilet cistern refilling?0 -
