Security Certificates

Have been using Google Chrome for a while now and the other day (not sure if kids have messed with it) it comes up with a cross saying I do not have the correct permissions.
I can log in using Internet explorer but messages permanently come up with security certificates expired. Would anyone know what I have to do - or do i need to contact internet provider?
All suggestions would be appreciated as I need to use my pc to work! Thanks

is the date and time on your computer correct

Generally this happens when the date on your PC is set incorrectly - usually, though not always, to an incorrect year.

Try resetting Internet Explorer to defaults

Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Reset button at bottom right.

(If you can't see Tools on the menu, press ALT and X together)
