Whats going on here...I think a new clever scam?

Hi,

I found this in my bulk mail today, seemingly a message from ebay buyer regarding payment for an item he bought. Never sold anything on ebay so was very curious to say the least. Obviously I never clicked on the link provided but instand was worried that maybe my ebay account was hijacked, so used a new browser window to sign in to ebay. Everything was fine and no, no message from any buyer in my message inbox. The iten is question is indeed valid as well as the buyers details. here is a copy of that email.

Now its got to be some sort of a scam as in the address that email was sent to 5/6 people including me seemingly from the buyer. Maybe his account is hijacked, I don't know but the item was gennuinely sold and bought it seems on ebay and the buyer exists. very fishy, what do you think is going on here. Probably an attempt to steal your ebay sign details, but nevertheless done very cleverly i think.

Yeah... a typical phishing email. I'd delete the link from your post just in case anyone is daft enough to click it.

    Don't even reply to it.

Get this sort of email quite often, do admit though they are getting better at the fake emails, used to be dear ebaymember, now it includes details of genuine listings and sales.

Yep, I had one yesterday asking me to send the $4000 TV they had won. The email had been sent to 10 other people. I just deleted it.
