Bank of Scotland/Halifax PPI

hi there,

A few months ago Intelligent Finance wrote to me about PPI so I submitted a claim and got £800 back.

I decided to write to Halifax and Bank of Scotland and ask if I ever had PPI on a number of credit card and a couple of loans. It was a few years so I have no memory as to whether I did or not. I was young then and just got my first mortgage and I think I might have taken it out since I was worried about having a mortgage.

Anyways, I got an acknowledgement back from them today saying they were gathering information about my complaint (I only asked if I had it or not, I didn't actually complain yet). Its specifically mentioned one Bank of Scotland loan and one Halifax credit card. I sent seperate letters for each account (1 Hlfx cc, 1 BoS cc, BoS mortgage & and BoS loan).

I was just expecting a letter back saying "yes you had it" or "you never had PPI".

Do you think this letter means that these 2 accounts had PPI on them? The letter doesn't explicitly say whether I did or not. What makes me think it does mean I had it is there is no mention of the other accounts which I presume didn't have it.

What do you think?

Listen here default Dave why don't you take your bullsh*t and stick it up your defaulted ar*e and then stick your defaulted credit report and stick it in your defaulted gob.

They will be looking at the card and loans that they have found, wait and see what the response is then you can query the others.

It is possible that they will find the other loan and CC when they look at the ones they have found, especially if the loans were rolled over into the next one.
  • The credit cards I was able to give them account numbers for however the loans I have no records of. I did give them the BoS current account sort code and account number the payments would have came out of though to help them locate it.

They have obviously found one loan so fingers crossed.
