in Credit cards
Hiya, I have a bit of a dim question to ask:o but I have been sent a great offer of 0% BT on an exisiting card which I'd like to do. But I wondered how much I can transfer.
The limit is £2.5k and it currently has about £500 on it, which has interest on it. So can I trf £2k or does the creidt limit nclude interest, so If I trf £2k now I would be at the limit but when interest is added i would go over the limit IYSWIM!
Sorry for dim question and thanks for any help you can give!

also, should I factor in the trf fee?0

It will generally be about 90-95% of your available credit, to allow for fees/interest.0

If you have any other card, you could transfer the £500 on to it then straight back on to the first card under the 0% offer. There will be two sets of fees but it could be worth it depending on the rate you are currently paying on it.
The credit limit is the maximum total balance you can have. The balance includes all purchases, transfers, fees, and interest, less any payments in; so you always need to leave a little spare so that you don't go over the limit when the interest is added at the end of the month. We need the earth for food, water, and shelter.
