Is Apple advert misleading?

You've all seen the advert where they talk to their phone (odd concept that) but does it work? http://www.theregister.co.uk/2012/03/29/second_siri_lawsuit/ Should the advert be pulled as misleading?
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

Siri certainly has flaws, especially outside the US where it doesn't give directions or locations of places you want etc. but it is pretty responsive compared to other phones with voice recognition.
I have the Samsung Galaxy S2 as does another girl I work with, three people at work have the iPhone 4s, we did our own test of the voice recognition between the two and Siri on Apple won hands down. Siri at least recognises the welsh accent and although couldn't link to maps etc. did understand what was being said most of the time.
The Galaxy recognition was shockingly bad and couldn't understand the welsh accent very well and we spent more time correcting the mistakes that it would have taken to do everything ourselves to start with.0 -
You should try the windows phone one, it's amazing. Clearly where apple stole the idea from0

Whether apple get away with patenting an "Intelligent Automated Assistant" or not is anyones guess.0

I can only speak from passive experience having tested one out (quite rigorously may i add) as I don't own one.
I thought the siri thing was quite awesome, I may even use the word 'revolutionary'!!
You can just ask it just about anything and it gives you the answer. I had no incorrect answers or 'I don't know' reply. Clearly as it was for testing purposes, there were a lot of silly questions directed at it but it had no issue replying
As said above, maybe the US version is the one with issues.
Personally, HTC is my one and only phone for the foreseeable future but for anyone that likes the iphone, I would say you need the lates tone for siri alone (not that there are any other extras in comparison to the previous version lol)
Incidentally, HTC have used siri for years prior to this latest iphone 'addon' but in a much more low key way.0 -

File a complaint with the ASA. It costs nothing.0
