hi,

thinking of buying a 7-seater car but don't really know where to start! Will have 2 young children, wife and 2 parents to fit in along with myself.
any recommendations from peoples previous experiences both good or bad.
would probably be looking to buy used.

thanks!

VW sharan is good for us. Nice to drive and economical compared to other 7 seaters.

Zafira is usually the cheapest option if your looking at a typical 3 year 30k option.

They are pretty good, plenty to choose from, and not too bad on the running costs.
  • i had a kia sedona up until a cpl of years ago never had any problems with it i had the 2.9 desiel which is actually a mercedes engine very roomy inside the two seats behind the driver can swivel 180 degrees so they face the rear

    i would recomend this model

    hope this helps
just because you are paranoid doesnt mean to say they are not out to get you

How often will it be taking all six?

The number of these things I see with one or two people in is crazy. Two cars would be my preference -- one decent one and one old runabout.

I see far more 5 seater cars with one or two people in them.;)

OP, we've a Grand Voyager. For the 6 of us it's ideal with 7 real seats AND a decent sized boot.

as my wife and her parents both don't drive the second car option isn't an option I'm afraid. I think it will be used for 6 people a fair bit (with the 2 kids in the car too obviously!)

Was looking at the zafira and the prices were really good but some have said that the reliability isn't the best.

Would think I would spend between 8-10k max but need something reliable.

I think you can get nearly new Zafiras for about £10K on Motorpoint can't you?
