Monitor Electricity

I keep getting large electricity bills and i want to work out what is causing them. I live in a converted mill and all the meters are kept in a room at the other side of the mill so this rules out a wireless energy monitor which clamps onto the meter. Is there any other device i can use to monitor the electricity?

You can still use the existing meter to monitor the consumption-that's far more accurate than the freebie monitors.
Post your annual kWh consumption and more advice can be given. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Is there no way you can get access to the meter to use an energy moniter on the cable could you speak to the landlord to see if it is possible1 Sealed Pot Challenge # 1480

It's not access that is presumably the problem-it's the distance from the meter to the property in this case.No free lunch, and no free laptop0

ye its the distance. I only have access to the meter room with a caretaker, so i cant check it all the time.0
