Bailiff letter but person doesn't live in my house

Hi there,
I am sick and tired of these bailiffs I have been recieving letters in someone's name that i don't know I have tried return to sender, phone, even spoke to royal mail they said they have to deliver it. I have done some research and I have come to one point the only way to get rid of them is to send a letter and start charging them per letter

something like this link

http :// goo.gl/52SJZ (can't post direct link...)

will i be able to charge them if i were to send a letter giving them 14 days notice time saying if i was to recieve letter after 14 days i will assume they are happy with the agreement and the handling / admin fee per letter will be £X amount...?

however i can't think of how i would start my letter? if anyone have any template for this please share, or if any advice on how to get rid of bailiffs thats chasing someone who don't live in your name please tell

Thanks

Be clear about the difference between bailiffs and debt collectors. Debt collectors have no rights, bailiffs ahve the authority of a court.

Open every letter [someone might pop up and say it is illegal, but by and large that myth has died a death]. If it is debt collectors, advice differs. Mine is write to each of them once, keeping a copy, telling them that you have lived there since <whenever>. After that, just keep the letters in a folder.

While it would be good to be paid for each letter, the chances of enforcing it are nil. It does your image with these people more harm than good to issue empty threats.

If it is bailiffs or a court summons or court papers come back for more advice.

Just bin the letters or mark return to sender.

Send them a letter - recorded delivery - informing them that the person doesn't live at your address and nor do you know of that person.

Request they update their records to reflect this, stop sending letters and if they refuse to do this, you will file a complaint with the ICO for breach of DPA.

Part of the DPA states that data controllers must ensure that the data they keep is accurate, up to date and relevant.

Strictly, they have not contacted you - but if you imply that they have, they may take it as a Freudian slip, that you are actually the debtor they want, but you are not all that good at pretending to be someone else.

I would take DVardysShadow and UnholyAngel's advice and write to them.

Some companies will only take notice if they have a dated statement from a named person informing them that the person is no longer at the address.
