I spend £30 per week = £120 per month. 6 people in my house, with all there tv's, laptops etc. I have a large bungalow and hope when I move to maybe get rid of a tv or two (kids don't know yet lol) to help reduce my electric.Jesus is alive!!!0

mine is much the same with NIE Keypad,
i might get away with £20 a week in the better weather, but with a tumble drier, electric heater, immersion heater etc its usually £20 / 25 a week with 2 adults 1 child
in the colder weather tho, its heating oil i use more off, its hard to strike any sort of a balance
what will we do when water rates come in too if its so hard at the moment without them:eek:0 -
We pay almost £100 a month with NIE, cant really understand this as there is only two of us in the house. Both out to work from early morning and not home until 8/9pm at night. Most things are turned off at night (I mean anything that can be turned off is) lights inside and outside are low energy bulbs, dishwasher on every other day, tumble dryer rarely used...... Had NIE out to check if there was something wrong and they said it was NORMAL! How weird. Is it possible to get one of those stand alone energy monitors for telling you how much electric you use over here? or are they only usable in mainland UK?0

I got one of these about 2 years ago. Shows you in real time (ok, a few seconds delay) the amount of energy you are using. http://www.tesco.com/direct/owl-wireless-energy-monitor-cm119/203-8659.prd
We have it sitting on the window opposite were we sit, so can see it.Regards, Robin.2011 MFW # 34
