Car Insurance - Paying monthly

Hello Gang,:j

Can you please help me. I am trying to insurance my car but nobody will insure me unless I pay the full amount up front!
I cannot afford to do this, so can anybody recommend any insurance companies that continue to do this for people in an IVA.

Any help is appreciated!

I had difficulty when I renewed mine and the option was either to stay with my current insurer who would offer monthly payments (but the policy had increased by 120%) or pay up front (and pay 120% less) so i went with LV and paid upfront, granted depending on the cost not everyone can afford to do this, will your current provider offer monthly payments?

I understand that the further down the line you are in your IVA the more likely you are to be able to pay monthly, I am only coming up to the end of my first year and I have heard that it is when you are in the first year it's difficult to get a monthly payment policy.

The only other option would be to speak to your IP and see if they would allow you to miss a payment to pay upfront if you really can't find anyone to take you on?

I had difficulty with car insurance last year with a lot of companies only wanting a full payment so I had to ask a family member to help out. I was worried this year as I didn't want to ask them again but in the end I got a pay monthly Insurance with RAC they don't credit check, they just set up a direct debit with your bank

    Hi,

I have been with Privilege, hastings and one call and all accepted monthly payments just set up a direct debit so bit starnge why yuou are greeting rejected its not like you can run up a massive bill if you don't pay you get you inssurance canceled.

I would just go online and try through there and phone up and check.

    good luck.

    Hi Gang,:j

Thanks for the replies, we went through "Compare the Market" and got rejected by the AA. We then tried Kwik Fit and they accepted us with no questions asked.

Hubby was panicing when we got rejected and thought we'd never get insurance. We're in our first year of our IVA, so next year I'm going to try and save for the premium.

    Kind Regards

I'll be honest I panicked when I got rejected last year so you are not alone. Glad you got it sorted :)
