Posable Wasp Nest. Advice Needed

Hi all,
I think we have a wasp nest someware. We live in a first floor council flat and the roof to the building is above us. In the last week we have come home from work to find a wasp in some of the rooms flying around and with no windows open in the day it must have come down though a hole near one of the heating pipes as these go up into the roof area. Do you think we have a nest in the roof area or wall and they are getting in that way.
Am not a fan of them myself so i dont want to go in the roof area and the ones we have found in the flat have been the biggest i have seen before and seem very active.
We did have a nest over a year and half but i sprayed some powered into the hole and after summer this was filled and we had a new roof fitted so they removed the old nest.
Should i contact the council as last time they said it was upto me to get rid but as we have the problem again and i think its in the roof and the roof covers other flats should it be upto them to look for the problem.
Chris

At his time of year it will be a Queen wasp looking for a place to start a nest. So just put it out and don't worry about it.
In the meantime why not seal the pipes.0 -

Not sure why you're asking whether you should ring the council to deal with the problem on a D.I.Y forum. The irony!0

I suppose it could have been put in consumer advice, but frankly this forum seems as good a place to start as any IMO. Not sure why you felt the need to post your comment TBH0 -
Because he was asking advice as to whether he should ring someone else to do it rather than asking for advice on how to deal with the problem himself as is normally the point of a d.i.y forum.0

That bit I got, so why not direct to the correct forum instead of the remark about the Irony? I thought these forums were here to help folk, not put uneeded/unhelpul comments if someone posts in the wrong forum etc.0
