Getting my money back

The short version:
My wife booked Taylor's Pie and Mash to provide catering for our wedding last year and paid a £300 deposit.
They mucked us about on the lead-up, then told us they were increasing the price per head from £8 to £18!
Despite there only being 6 weeks to go, I told them no thanks and we want our deposit back. Antonio Taylor agreed to give the deposit back. However, despite promising that he had done a bank transfer and that he would come to our house and hand the cash over, it never materialised.
So, I began small claims proceedings using MCOL (money claim online). This went on until a Bailiff's warrant was issued, but that failed. They'd closed the shop down and !!!!!!ed off (owing the landlord quite a lot too).
It seems that Antonio is the director of a number of other businesses (including pie n mash shops) with the same registered address as the original.
As it costs me £100 to get the warrant re-issued, the question is, can I get my money back from another of his businesses when the original claim was against a different business?
If not, is there any other way I can get my money back? It's over £500 now with court fees etc.

Was it a private ltd company? Has that company now been dissolved? You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0

Was the claim against him personaly (sole trader, partnership ) or against a ltd company. If the later, which I suspect it was, you can not get the money from another one of his businesses. Winning a claim is one thing getting paid is another, you are very unlikely to get paid from a ltd co that has went into administration, or been dissolved.
It's not unknown for directors to run up huge debt's, fold the company and start again, all at the same registered address.0 -

Hmmm but isn't there something about them not being able to be named as a director or being involved in the running of another company?
I recall reading something along those lines but it was so long ago, i can't recall the exact particulars. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -

I believe you have to specifically banned according to the attached link. It implies that you have to be located as well so if they've scarpered then its possible they couldn't even do it if someone wanted to go through the process.

I suspect you're not going to get your money via any conventional method.
You may want to try alternative means. You could standing outside his shops telling people what happened and hit his trade. You could walk into his shops and accidentally knock things on the floor. Depends how nasty you want to play it.0 -
antonio taylor aka tony taylor, anyone with dealings with this character please be extremely wary, con artist and flim flam man are phrases that come to mind, string of failed business dealings presently being investigated by dorset police for taking money under false pretences google "dorset echo" tony taylor see listings re the road house on king st, police investigating accusation of taking money for booking michael mcintyre, and jimmy carr at above, agents knew nothing of booking, money/deposits never returned.........seems a common thread here !!0

The Dorset police determined that there was nothing to charge Mr. Taylor with...so these are just nasty rumours. It seems that actually Diane Weekes of the Road House (the one who made the accusations against Mr. Taylor) was the one who was shady. She was the one that police eventually investigated and she "decided to leave" after it was reported in the Dorset Echo “The conduct of Ms Weekes and her obvious lack of control at the premises is considered to be totally unacceptable by Dorset Police,” Google Dorset Echo - "Weymouth's Road House bar may face closure after complaints"0

No idea what you're talking about, or why you've bumped a thread that is 2 years old. That article has nothing to do with anything on this thread. One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.0

Well by rehasing a thread that has long been dead and buried Mr Taylor or a member of his fan club have bought his name and dodgy dealings to peoples attention again.....may of been better to of let sleeping dogs lie.0

Sorry! I was looking up the topic "getting my money back" because of a shady dealing with a moving company and i read through this thread. I actually have no clue who this chap is but decided to look about after icarus414 posted. I just thought it to be fair if another side was presented, that's all. My apologies!0
