Advice for Budgeting - self employed!

Hello

Myself and my fiance have just bought our first home and we have saved money etc to prepare us for bills etc but i am just wondering the best way to budget for when he is off - he is self employed and so when he is off on holiday etc he does not get paid - does anyone have any ideas what to put aside per month etc and if there is anything else we can do? Also, he does not yet have a pnsion set up - what would people recommend?

Thank you :)
