Faulty Ford radio ?
Options
Hi there
Just wondering if anybody can help me with a problem I have with my Ford radio
I have a 59 late C Max and when I go and start the car, the radio shows "Code required". If I put the code in, it works fine, but then when the ignition is turned off, it again asks for the code to be input before working
Is this something that I can fix or is it a dealer problem ?
Any help would be greatly appreciated

It sounds like the current is being cut entirely to the radio when you turn off the ignition.
This probably isn't a fault with the radio, but with the car itself.
If you have any experience of electrics, then it should be quite easy to resolve. If not, seek out a good auto-electrician (and you won't find them in any fancy dealership!)
Edit: Hang on, 59 plate? It should still be under warranty shouldn't it? (unless someone has already been playing about with it which I suspect they have been)"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Constant live fuse has blown. May be in the fuse box.0

Thanks for the quick reply Premier
Not sure what the warranty is on this car, was bought as a pre-registered car from Ford , 6 months old
Would it have a 3 year warranty on it ?
Has not been touched by anyone , always leave repairs/servicing to our local garage. Was last serviced in January but the fault only started a couple of days ago, so no idea what would cause this to start. It's just a pain having to re-code everytime we go anywere0 -

(assuming a genuine UK vehicle first registered here in the UK)"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Just been out in the car and now even the code will not work
When the code is entered the radio goes blank and then reverts to asking for the code again
Will try looking for the fuse in the morning and see if that is the fault
Thanks anyway for you help0
