Virgin 0% on BT

Options
All

recently applied for a virgin credit card as it was 0% on balance transfers and I believe you dont get charged for changing debt from my existing card to this new one(virgin). However I just want to clear this up as it states in the terms and conditions you get charged on 'some' transfers...is this for existing customers?

You will not be charged. I did this a couple of weeks ago with no problem and that was after recieving my Virgin cards.

I've just got my acceptance forms today from Virgin. I've checked all the paperwork for details of the BT fees etc and can't find anything other than the "we may" statement.

Throughout my telephone application process I took detailed notes on what was said. I spoke to 5 people (I know, I know, but I'm new to stoozing and I had lots of questions over a 3 day period last week!) and took all their names. All 5 told me that there were no fees at all for any/all balance transfers carried out during the 9 month 0% period, and this includes transferring to my current account.

colinw - May I ask how long Virgin took to send out the CC paperwork, cards and PINS?

I ask because I applied for the card just over a week ago, but I haven't heard anything from them. Usually when I apply for a CC I get a response after a few days. I guess Virgin are slow at processing their applications.

As Colinw is not "online" at the moment, I can answer part of your question...

I applied by phone last Thursday PM and paperwork came today.

YorskhireBoy & Al Mac - Many thanks for answering my question. Al Mac must be right, MBNA must have had a large number of applications to process. I guess I'll wait a few more days and if I still haven't heard anything I'll contact them. I don't want to wait too long as any delays are eating into my 0% interest free period. I requested a red card, so at least I shouldn't be further delayed waiting for the elusive black card to be available again.

I phoned Virgin this morning. My CC application has been accepted. They've told me that I will receive the agreement forms in a few days. I've already given them the details for the SBT, which should go through as soon as I return the forms :) .
