Reporting a suspected hijacked account?

Is there any way of reporting an account you think has been hijacked?

I had some auctions end this weekend, and the winner of one (some vouchers, worth £24) paid by Paypal with an unconfirmed address. I do sometimes send to unconfirmed addresses for low value items, but this account looked dodgy. The account was registered last September, but all the feedback was given in the last week and was mostly for 1p ebooks.

Looking into it, the name and address given for delivery didn't match the username (which included a firstname and surname) or the area where the account was registered. I got their contact details, and the phone number given was again for a completely different area and was unobtainable when I tried it.

So, I refunded them and said they could either get their address confirmed or pay another way. They replied to say they wanted to call the deal off. Fine by me, I sold to the next highest bidder instead.

As I'm pretty sure there's something dodgy going on, is there anything I can do about it, although I haven't personally been scammed by this person?

Fastest and most foolproof way to get someone NARU.
    My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j
  • Done! Hopefully they'll be NARU'd shortly. Thanks guys - I knew there must be some way of doing it, but ebay's help pages are so hard to navigate to find what you need.

That is right, like PP help pages, they are a nightmare.
Take care when dealing with such "users", they may use PP to chargeback fraudulently after getting the goods.
