Sale on London Midland train tickets
London Midland currently have a sale on their already cheap fares:
We’ve slashed thousands of tickets by up to 50% in our biggest ever online Rail Sale!
Simply book online until midnight on 7 May for journeys between 9 April and 31 May.
Save up to 50% on Off-Peak Return, Off-Peak Day Return and Off–Peak Single tickets for thousands of journeys across the London Midland network.
But that's not all: we've also slashed the online price of every London Midland Advance ticket (First and Standard class) to make it even easier to get a great deal - even at peak times.
Got a Railcard? Then save another 1/3 on top!
I'e just booked a one-way fare from Liverpool to London Euston for the princely sum of £6.25. It takes longer than the direct Virgin trains, and you have to change at Stafford but you still reach London in under 4 hours so I think it's pretty good.

Thanks sounds good, I use London Midland for my journey to work but only one stop. I also use them at weekends so can get cheaper fares by buying online & collecting at the machine at the station by work. They did this last year and I never realised until last week of the offer.Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.

Just to clarify, the sale is on London Midland Advance fares and London Midland-priced Off-Peak (Day) fares. For some flows, you do not even need to travel on LM services at all.
For example, Birmingham Stations - Stafford Route Any Permitted Off-Peak Day Return is a London Midland-priced flow, therefore a passenger is permitted to use a sale ticket to travel on CrossCountry or Virgin services without using LM at all.0
