Also when I worked at Shaake as a Smoothie technician (I would have preferred Scoopervisor) We had a load of people turn up with vouchers - we knew that there would be a promotion soon but they couldnt tell us when it would go live. cue a queue of excess of 50 people at a time claiming drinks.. all on the same day, would have been great but we were losing money on each one! no one came back- that job didnt last long! ho ho!
That's interesting . It would be interesting to know what it's like from the business's point view as well. I have seen many complains that they have had bad experiences with groupon and the other similar group buying sites. On the other hand other buisnesse's seem to use groupan et al sucessfully. Also ,you see the same deals coming round again and again often a deal with be on groupon for a while and then it will pop up on living social or kgb etc..
It could have been that the store manager hadn't quite done the maths on it!
I've switched to 123 Save now, they don't email out, you can just search for what you want, other than that I just search on twitter for flash discounts.
