Problems with McAfee today?

Is anyone else having problems with McAfee today? I am showing that my McAfee virus scan needs attention and is no longer protecting me securely, yet when I try to connect to 'fix' problem I am getting the following message:

An unexpected error occurred, and verification cannot be completed. Please retry later.
If the problem persists, check your account status, and try reinstalling the product.

This is a newish Dell computer and came complete with my McAfee so of course I don't have a disc. However, I am still in date for a subscription to McAfee that I took out previously, so still have full log in details if required.

I've finally managed to log into McAfee and it seems to be allowing me to download all my missing 'extras'. I don't know what happened between logging out last night and logging in today that made most of the programmes on my McAfee uninstall though?

Fingers crossed the current re install works.

that 2nd fix is fairly recent...I think they had a bug in the updater part

Hmm, maybe spoke too soon, it was downloading nicely and showing 3 minutes left, and has suddenly switched to showing 99 hours, 99 minutes and 99 seconds remaining to download..I rather suspect therefore the problem is theirs.

go for the 2nd fix i posted, its an official McAfee post (and the most recent) otherwise try the first (not sure that will fix it but no harm trying)

I got this so often on mine and my mums dell that I got rid and put trend pccillin on, free wasn't cheap enough for the hassle it gave me...

I had terrible problems with the latest update, I also have a Dell bought six months ago, Everything was fine until latest update. I just got so fed up that I just uninstalled the whole thing and went back to AVG,ZONEALARM and Spybot . Everything seems fine three days later without MacFee(?)
