Hi, I had a credit card with Nationwide which ended on 31st August 2011.
The T&Cs of the Nationwide Select Credit Card state that you cannot apply if you have had a Credit Card with Nationwide in the last 12 months.
Has anyone managed to get one even though they had a credit card in the last 12 months with Nationwide?
Thanks

If they classify you as a "Good customer", they'll upgrade you to a Select credit card on request, rather than you applying for it.0

Thanks for your reply. Would they "upgrade" me though, because I don't have a credit card with them any more?
I would say I am a good customer as I have been a current account holder since 2006 with no missed payments etc.
Would be interested to know if anyone else has tried to attain one even though they have had a different Nationwide credit card within the last 12 months?0 -

I asked Nationwide if I can close and re-apply for a Select card as I wanted a lower APR, and they said:I can advise that an account would need to be closed for a minimum of 12 months if you wish to be considered for the 0% promotional offers, or, your account can be closed for a minimum of 10 working days to be considered for the same product without any offers.
I left it open and got a letter yesterday saying they were lowering my APR :j0
