Simplehuman - great customer service

I would like to praise Simplehuman for their exemplary customer service.
We bought a butterfly lid bin about 3 years ago. A few weeks back the hinge pin retainer on the (plastic) lid broke and the lid would still open and close but was a nuisance.
This weekend past it just got worse to the point of my lovely wife insisting we but a new bin. I disagreed and though I would email Simplehuman asking if I could buy a replacement part or a new complete lid assembly.
Their reply actually made me do double take. No quibble, no payment asked, they were sending out a new upgraded pair of lids (in brushed steel) and apologised for the inconvenience.
New lids arrived, fitted in 5 minutes, bin better than new.
What lovely people. :T

Something broke, company fixed it, no drama.
